Recently The Daily Scribe has initiated something of a mutual back scratching session. Basically if a members post floats your boat, tell everyone about it.

The idea is to list the 5 best posts (in your opinion) of the week. Well, I must confess to being a little slow in keeping up with the blogsphere this week but here are 2 of the post I came across which I though worth sharing.

When push comes to shove, thank God for self-love

Camassia takes a look at the ethics of masturbation (that word means that anybody with a porn blocker can probably not read this post *smile*). The thoughts were provoked by the U.K.’s Masturbate-a-Thon held in London. The mind boggles. “When push comes to shove, thank God for self-love” is well worth a read.

The Yoke of Liberal Religion

Shawn at the LoFiTribe has offered a fascinating insight into world of liberal Christianity. ââ?¬Å?The Yoke of Liberal Religionââ?¬Â was well timed for me as I’m looking at these labels at the moment and trying to work out what on earth they mean. Having been labeled myself here on threedays as a conservative I found it really interesting to have a look at what some of our readers think I’m not. *smile*

Well that’s it for this week in what should become a regular round up of posts that have attracted my attention. Next time I will aim for 5. Pay them a visit, leave a comment, and post back here to tell me what you thought.

Have a great weekend

Hey Rob. Thanks for the link and the participation! Question: Are you not a religious conservative? Now I am curious. I do understand the limits of these sort of labels, but I think they do properly point toward specific modes of thinking. I also am not saying one is better than the other either! Thanks!

Shawn, I guess my point is more that I don’t really know what;
a) A conservative is
b) The person giving the label thinks it is

So if I should ever decide to accept such a label I think I’d need to be clear on what it’s all about.

I’d imagine I, like most people, don’t fit into one particular box. But I might be wrong as I don’t know what the boxes are.

Feel free to enlighten me *smile*
