Well I hope you have enjoyed some daily reading, I know I have.
At the end of each week Ill try and complete a short post to sum up the last weeks reading. Its not going to be a bible study as such, more of a recap and then back to you guys. Id love to hear any questions or things that particularly stood out for you.
So Matthew 1-10
Weve read about the birth of Christ, John the Baptist a hand full of amazing miracles, the sending out of the 12 disciples and of course the beatitudes so a lot to take in one week.
One of the things that really stood out to me early in the week was the number of references to the Old Testament there were, most of which demonstrate the fulfilment of prophecy. Even though Jesus was not the Messiah they expected it is amazing to see how many profits had it spot on
I also really like Matt 4:19 where Jesus calls Peter and Andrew, ââ?¬Å?come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.ââ?¬Â I think it really shows that being a disciple of Jesus is really just about sharing His love with those around us; itââ?¬â?¢s about others coming to know Him. Challenging.
Look forward to hearing any questions or great bits for you. We can all discuss as we continue to read on
Week 2
Monday Matt 11 – 13
Tuesday Matt 13 – 15
Wednesday Matt 15 – 17

First weeks reading starts today. We are basically going to take 2 chapters a day working through the gospels, nice and simple:
Monday Matt 1-3
Tuesday Matt 3-5
Wednesday Matt 5-7
Thursday Matt 7-9
Friday Matt 9-11
Next Monday we will review what we’ve read and have the next lot up for you. Have fun. Any questions just ask.

Threedays is an evolving community and one which we want to see grow; not because we want lots of readers and commenters (although that would be nice) but because we want to be an effective and useful tool for those who want to find out what really is contained in the Bibles pages.
Tomorrow sees the launch of ‘Lunch’. As we have already talked about, ‘Lunch’ is aimed at giving us a healthy spiritual diet and to try and move away from the culture of binging and starving on spiritual pursuits. There will been a regular post on a Monday to keep the progress updated, as we aim to read a little each day of the week.
This result is our regular weekly study; currently making it’s way through Mark and Zechariah, moves to a new home of Wednesday.
Of course, expect the regular, if somewhat intermittent diet of posting on other matters of interest (at least to us).
The advent of ‘Lunch’ is a big undertaking for us and we look forward to dinning with you all over the coming weeks.
